Still Marillion

StillMarillion are the most well known and established tribute to the Fish era of progressive rock band Marillion. They focus on the first four classic Fish era albums and other b-sides and rarities from the time.

Coming from Scotland, like Fish, StillMarillion are fronted by Martin Jakubski, an extraordinary vocalist in his own right. Martin also sings with original Marillion guitar player Steve Rothery in his solo band. There can be no better stamp of approval for Martins vocal performances than being involved with Steve Rothery himself.

StillMarillion have been actively touring the UK for the last eight years to increasingly sold out venues and regularly venture over to mainland Europe for shows in Holland and Germany. They are now seen as the the premier option for live performances of Fish era Marillion. The rest of the bands musical credentials are extremely high with members who have appeared in many well known original and cover acts such as Scottish prog rockers Abel Ganz, Maiden Sotland and original Iron Maiden singer Paul Dianno.

Featuring the hits such as Kayleigh, Lavender and Sugar Mice but also showcasing classic album and b-side tracks there is enough to keep everyone happy. StillMarillion are a formidable live band in their own right and whether you are the biggest Marillion fan or a more casual observer, their musicianship and live performance never fails to impress.

Gaz Brookfield (Full Band) + Raze*Rebuild + Nick Parker

Gaz Brookfiled returns to Songs of Praise clutching his fresh off the press 5th album I Know My Place and hits Swindon for the first non-London date on the tour. The album has picked up a lot of critical acclaim with Louder Than War rating it a maximun 10/10.

Often found in the company of the likes of The Levellers, New Model Army and Ferocious Dog, Gaz continues to win over audiences with his blend of honesty, poignancy, charm and just the right dash of tongue in cheek humour.

It should be noted that this is the ONLY FULL BAND SHOW on the entire tour so even if you are planning to go to one of the other shows this will offer a totally unique experience.

First chance to hear the new songs live, first chance to grab the new record, another chance to remind ourselves why he is one of the most popular performers on the live circuit today.

Support comes from Raze*Rebuild, who take a punky Americana route and the heat warming tunes of Nick Parker will kick off the night.

Wille and The Bandits + Blackballed

Wille and The Bandits

Having toured their unique brand of roots rock with the likes of Deep Purple, Joe Bonamassa, The John Butler Trio and Status Quo Wille and the Bandits are now proudly touring their brand new, critically acclaimed album Breakfree.

The band are famous for creating an astonishingly huge sound, incorporating eclectic grooves from World music to Heavy Rock, using bizarre instrumentation such as Tongue Drum, Djembe, Lap steel guitar and Double bass they push the boundaries of what is expected of a modern three piece.

Although difficult to pigeon hole, Wille and the Bandits are taking roots rock music to a new level.

Wille and the Bandits are renowned for their diverse songwriting and often likened to the greats of the 70s such as Led Zeppelin, Santana and Pink Floyd, this comparison, although bold, only scrapes the surface of the Bands influences and sound.

Wille and the Bandits are on a journey which has so far been miraculous. All achieved through hard work and a true passion for making music. Playing over 200 shows a year these guys are really tight. So please do not miss the opportunity to see one of the most impressive live acts of this generation.

BLACKBALLED

Blackballed are... Tom Wibberley (Bass). Marshall Gill (Vocals/guitar). Leon Gill (Drums).

Blackballed are a full tilt powerhouse with a ton of passion and style.
Fusing all the best ingredients from blues and rock to psychedelic soulfulness,
they conjure up an energy that once discovered wont be forgotten.

Since their inception in 2012, Blackballed have been smashing down the walls at every show.
Building on an ever increasing fan base and powering on from strength to strength.
With an EP, an album and a stack of gigs, festivals, headline and support slots under their belt,
the band returned to the studio in August to record their second album due for release April 2017.

Blackballed are booking gigs for 2017 which is already promising to be a fantastic year,
with gigs, an album, a UK and European tour and a number of festivals already in the bag.

Swindon Hog Wild Scooter Club Annual Bash.

So, once a year, the Swindon-based Hog Wild Scooter Club like to put on an evening of their own Club DJs spinning vinyl with the intention of dancing the night away. The music spans various genres, Northern Soul, Ska, 2-Tone, Mod Revival from the late 70s and early 80s, New Wave, 90s Britpop and more - all of which are popular on the scooter scene. Scooter ownership is not an essential requirement, a love of good dance music is!

Martyrials + Ghost of The Avalanche + GagReflex + Sickones

Martyrials
Ruthlessly creative and creatively ruthless, the Martyrials [marr•tyr•eels] produce an undeniably explosive blend of all killer, no filler Rock and Roll.Punk ethics meet synthesized psychedelia for a cup of cold green tea with psychobilly blues.

OUTSTANDING! one of the best gigs ive been to in years - Rich Craven, Founder of Swindon Shuffle

WHAT PUNK WOULD HAVE SOUNDED LIKE IF IT BURST ONTO THE SCENE AFTER THE ADVENT OF AFFORDABLE SYNTHESIZERS - Dave Franklin, The Swindonian.

GHOST OF THE AVALANCHE
Noise-punk duo from Bath with a perverse sense of what the word Pop means. Catchy tunes played at blistering speed, reminiscent of early The Misfits crossed with The Bronx and DFA 1979. Stripped back punk rock.

GagReflex
A two-headed punk rock machine - small enough to tour in a car; big enough to take your face clean off.

Spawned from the ashes of a band that imploded trying to write the most complicated songs known to man, the two heads that are GagReflex decided that they needed a new MO. Enter a new approach - brave, obtuse, defiant, yet simpler, and more fun - bass and drums - thats all you need, right? GagReflex thought so and got cracking on that basis. A fresh new blend emerged - absolute punk rock, with alternative pop tendencies - something to leave an odd but addictive taste on the palate.

The lineup never got finished. It never will.

SickOnes
Three piece hardcore, pulling influence from 80s pioneers and blending it with modern fury. Incredible live shows, certainly not to be missed!

The Doors Alive

The Doors Alive are a British tribute band widely regarded as the closest and most enthralling representation of the legendary 1960s rock gods The Doors in the world today.

The band re-create the sound, look, presence and magic of a real 1960s Doors concert, perfectly and effortlessly transporting the audience back in time with classic hits such as Light My Fire, When The Musics Over, Riders On The Storm, The End and many more.

Their frontman captures the look, attitude, and rich baritone voice of the late, great Jim Morrison with ease while his compadres showcase the musical chops of original Doors members Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger and John Densmore with finesse.

The Doors Alive have left awestruck audiences all over the world and repeatedly sold out some of the most well established venues in the country, including 02 Academies all over the U.K.

To achieve that authentic Sixties sound, the band use the very same instruments that members of the Doors originally used. These include vintage keyboards such as the Gibson G101 and the Fender Rhodes Bass, as well as the vintage Gibson S.G. Guitar.

Green Haze

GREEN HAZE are the ultimate tribute to one of the best rock bands the world has ever seen – Green Day. Being inducted into the Rock n Roll hall of fame in their first year of eligibility, joining just a handful of bands to ever do so - Green Day have forever cemented themselves as one of the greatest rock bands of all time.

Touring the length and breadth of the UK, Green Haze have played to sell out-crowds at some of the biggest and most established festivals including Real Radio XSs Halloween Monsters Ball at Manchester Academy 1, BugJam Festival at The Santa Pod Raceway, as well as top music venues such as The Fleece in Bristol & The Globe in Cardiff.

Headliner Green Haze whipped the wild Saturday night funsters in to an uncontrollable frenzy, replicating the Green Day sound to such a tee that youd have been hard pressed to differentiate between the originals and the covers. All of the bands usual suspect punk hits were nailed with impeccable, high octane, relentless accuracy - 365Bristol.com

GREEN HAZE go to every length to capture the raw power and dynamics of Green Days music and bring it to life on stage with full 2+ hour stage show. With both the MUSIC and the LOOK, their energy packed show comes complete with costumes, fun crowd interaction, on-stage antics and all of the trimmings that make a Green Day live show so recognisable to their fans. It is this attention to detail that makes Green Haze the most authentic Green Day tribute band out there.

Green Haze played our Halloween Monsters Ball at The Manchester Academy and had over 1,000 people rocking with a Green Day show to remember, they are a truly authentic Green Day tribute band! - Real Radio XS

All of Green Days albums are well represented, covering all of the hits like Basket Case, When I Come Around, American Idiot, Holiday, Wake Me Up When September Ends to name but a few. Plus an extensive repertoire of fan favourites to satisfy even the most ardent of Green Day fans.

GREEN HAZE perform the songs with the same energy and passion that only true fans of the original band can, this is what makes Green Haze literally THE next best thing to Green Day themselves.

WOW what a band, these guys had it all, the sound, the look and bundles of enthusiasm. For two whole hours they smashed out hit after hit, hardly stopping to take breath! - The Patriot
