OX
Ox began in the smokey confines of East side Vancouvers Profile Studios as songwriter Mark Brownings project to remake Woody Guthries Dust Bowl Ballads. What started as a musical history excercise and sonic experiment quickly transformed into an intimate expression of rambling folk soundscape mixed with indie rock. Brownings 2003 debut, Dust Bowl Revival bridged the burgeoning roots alt country scene into indie cult status coming out of nowhere to eventually reach #1 on Canadas national college radio chart the first time an independent record has achieved such an honour.
Following this, thousands of miles of touring across Canada, the USA, UK, Ireland, Germany, and the Netherlands crystalized Oxs underground cult status. Avoiding the mainstream, and ignoring the industry, Ox lurks on the fringe with a fiercely independent DIY approach and through subsequent albums and tours- each generating critical acclaim has gained a loyal following.
After 7 years and 4 albums, Browning moved the Ox homebase to his hometown of Sudbury, Ontario. There, with support from longtime Ox collaborator Ryan Bishops, and part-time sideman Brian Dunn, he founded Cosmic Daves Sound Emporium an atmospheric analog equiped recording studio and vintage music store situated in an iconic old time Sudbury diner. Here, Ox continues the tradition begun in Vancouver combining haunting dust bowl soundtracks with reverb soaked garage indie folk- either providing late night playlists for all night prairie drives.

THE HOODOO KINGS
Energetic and entertaining BluesRock cover and concept band who play modern electric blues and blues-based Rock music while dressed as voodoo priests (top hat, skulls, feathers etc)!
WHY?? - You may ask? - The KINGz are paying homage to the fact that "hoodoo" - the witchcraft activity of Voodoo - had a great influence on the Blues - its tales, lyrics - and the names of the Blues artists themselves.
The "KINGz" also play classic good ol' fashioned "Woman, you done me wrong!" blues songs! Ya gotta see us to believe us - a sense of humour and a passion for rockin the house blues is required!
So DONT BE A MUSIC ZOMBIE!!! Dont watch lifeless blues bands singing dispassionately about bad luck, bad women, and bad drinking habits! This is the stuff of MELODIES! It must be SHOUTED and performed with a VOODOO VENGENCE! This is WHAT WE DO.......!

THE RACKET
The Racket are Swindons hottest up and coming Indie Rock band. Formed in early 2011 they have already attracted a lot of attention and interest in their chaotic live shows and are making a huge impact in the area, bringing more and more fans to gigs every time they play.
Plummie Racket, Jonny Riot, Jim Dowding and George Duddles kick out to the point lyrics, wrapped around funky bass licks, jagged guitar riffs and banging leads with a drummer who hits the kit like it owes him money.
They have a sound of their own but are influenced by amongst others The Libertines, Oasis, Kings of Leon, The Clash and Arctic Monkeys. Frontman Plummie writes songs in a story style reminiscent of classic British song writers like Ray Davies of the Kinks or Alex Turner of The Arctic Monkeys. Inhabited by a cast of strange characters and influenced by real life and events these musical tales have a life of their own and a bittersweet humour to them.
As well as frequent gigging across the South West the band have played several local festival dates and at London venues like The 229 Club and Montos Water Rats. They have also been featured on BBC Introducing in Wiltshire, and performed a two song live session on the show.
THE RHUBARBS
Earning BBC Introducings "Stamp Of Approval" and described as The Beatles On Speed. Its early yet exciting days for the band that consists of Oli Henry Ferris and Tom Watling both playing guitar and singing, Robert Hunt on bass and Charlie Rowe on drums.
NUDY BRONQUE
The band blends Indie music with elements of 70s punk, post punk and Britpop. Although these influences are similar to those of many bands from the last decade, Nudybronque have created a fresh and vibrant sound they can proudly call their own, avoiding the pitfalls and generic tendencies of the majority of modern Indie bands.
Reggae Night Featuring Live band - Smokestack Shakers
The Shocks Of Mighty idea came about in 2003. Around the time when Pop-A-Top Records was first launched. Initially set up by Johnny Rench, Nevil Banton and Erin Bardwell. A platform to launch reggae nights with Erin & Johnny as the selectors and Nevil as the DJ. The idea was to play their own music (Pop-A-Top recordings) along side classic West Indian & associated music from the 1950s to present day. With a huge focus on the 60s period (ska, rocksteady and skinhead reggae). But with a healthy dose of 70s dub, roots and lovers as well as 80s dancehall up to present day. With a sprinkling of calypso, mento and Jamaican R&B you had the ingredients of a good night out and a filled dance floor.
SMOKESTACK SHAKERS
Influenced by the delta blues, latin, african and reggae beats. A unique band. Think Taj Mahal meets The Clash and they play tunes influenced by the Maytails and Elmore James - you getting it?

Greenman Music Presents:
CRASH & THE BANDICOOTS
Forget about The Jackson 5, forget about Oasis (if you hadnt already) - because theres a new musical brotherhood on the scene. Ewan Merrett, 19, and his brother Callum, 21, are the creative core of Crash and the Bandicoots, a band that, despite not having played a single live show yet, are showing signs of being the best thing to come out of the South-West in a very long time.
RUSSIAN BLUE
Formed Late 2011 after the end of Sailors by Alex, Paddy and Sam, quickly recruiting Guy Metcalfe on drums to fit the final piece. Russian Blue is a good mix between heavy and soft, pleasing to the pop lovers and the alternative crew.
As is so often the case with unique artists, it takes another one to fully appreciate them. Having lived the life and music of Johnny Cash and other country heroes who came before and since, Ben, aka CASH, has effortlessly recreated the sound, vibe and appeal of the master himself.
There's two types of people in this world: Those who like Johnny Cash and those that don't know a damn thing about music. CASH are dedicated to making sure as many people as possible get into the know...
THE PISTOLS are a frighteningly close authentication of the original band but with added flair, charm, wit and humour.
The band perform a blistering 90 minute show which includes all of the anti-hits made famous by the Sex Pistols in the late 1970's, such as Anarchy In The UK, Pretty Vacant and God Save The Queen. Add to this a special 'Sid Sings' tribute to the notorious Sid Vicious, including I Wanna Be Your Dog, My Way, Something Else and C'Mon Everybody and you are all set for a spectacular show.

WOB
Travelling extensively with a trusty acoustic guitar, the "astonishingly bouncy talent machine" Rock 'n' Reel, was spotted at venues all over England, gaining ecstatic audience reactions from crowds more used to punk rock than acoustic music. At the end of 1990 he joined the ranks of agit-folk-rockers Blyth Power, a band described by Folk Roots, as "a national treasure". After four years of touring and recording the critically acclaimed Guns of Castle Cary and Pastor Skull albums, Wob decided to concentrate on his own music. This path has led him to festivals, rock venues, folk clubs and a host of weird and wonderful places in Britain, Europe, Australia and the US.
MARKY THATCHER
Marky Thatcher is a singer/songwriter from Swindon, England.
After putting in stints playing guitar in several moderately successful bands over a ten year period, Marky has struck out on his own, bringing with him a brand of straight ahead music, with often brutally honest lyrics.
Live music from WOB will take place in the Bar and the usual karaoke shinnanigans will take place up in the bar after this, including happy hour prices all night
